The Malaysian goverment have announced yesterday that the age more than 30 to all PASAR AWAM will get a special budget to renovate it or to build a new one.I think almost 90 % PASAR AWAM are in this category.
I have experienced went to PASAR AWAM more than 30 years aged.The stucture are from conventional system with rc and brick and timber structure as s roof trusses.The ground slab not finishes and very slippy when got water on top of it.The level of stall are same with the customer passage way so water from the stall are flow to the passageway and too dangerous to fall down and also others aminities like toilet cant used,surau also gone are the bad things found to the old PASAR AWAM.
The new PASAR AWAM ground slab design are ok about the level but the tiles finishes must be anti slip or the moist are quick move to protect customer fall down.
