ROUTE TO PE OR IR TITLE

 Route to PE is one of the course offer free right now.Actually that course are mainly for young engineer step by step guidance to become PE Zin Malaysia.I would to share my old experience last 22 years ago how I  doing step by step to become a PE.

First of all you must register as graduate engineer with BEM not like last 22 years all the form using a hand writing to fill the form and like today all the form can downloading from BEM website snd then fill and must be signed by PE before submitting to BEM and must wait until approved by BEM.

Once get a title of graduate engineer ,the engineer have to work at least 5 years with 2 years in design office and 2 years at site and must be supervised by senior PE as mentor.Tips for young engineers if you have a ambition to become a PE that when get the job,pls make a log book to write all the work and experience for every day activities and signed by the mentor and the second way is to fill the experience from for at least 5 years experience and signed by a mentor before submitting to BEM for approval.

BEM will call for sit a writing exam at the examiner office.All the title regarding the engineering must write in English during 3 hours time.After that the candidate must waiting for interview.

My self after 14 years graduating just submitting the application for PE.So a little bit fussy and difficult to collect all of the experience.But at last successful to fullfill all the term and condition.

So when BEM confirm the date for interview,the place for interview are at examiner office and this interview conduct by 2 PE .Tips that all the question base on the submitted report that why if you dont have an experience or  little bit dont write in the report.Pls write what you are have deep or expert and can answer all the question .

After that waiting for the interview result yes or no to become a PE.But today an additional exam for PEPC but last time dont have.This exam are carry out by IEM and the chances to pass  ver slim coz the exam are more to ethics question I guess and if failed only get a PE and if passed can get PE and PEPC.PEPC only can submit drawing to client or majlis or authorities for approval.

Getting approval letter from BEM with number are the licence to do set a consultant firm and doing a consulting business.And are competent to put an IR word before name and today CPD are introduced to make sure a PEPC are in active mode and 22 years ago not a short time running a business.A lot of challenging running a consulting firm and at the same time follow a rule and regulation set by the goverment through an AKTA JURUTERA MALAYSIA 1967 and all the others regulation.

So for young engineer that is a little bit experience how to get a PE.
