3 COMMON TYPES OF TRUSS USED AT CONSTRUCTION SITE TODAY

There are 3 common type of truss used in construction :

1. timber truss-using since old time until today,but less since pre-fab light C channel introduced at the market today.Before pre-fab method introduced,all the fabrication were done at site.The author have an experience fabrication and installing these type of truss at Melaka.read more and refer to CIS 5-2004 CIDB documentation
2. ms steel truss-still used until today for long span purpose.Normally  RHS  and CHS shape were used as a main truss.Welding connection and anti rust application the most element have to check.The author have experence design a roof truss system to one project at Banting.read more
3. I beam truss- for a longest span .This type of truss used at lab at CIAST shah alam.read more
4. C channel home used-this type of pre fab roof truss used thk 0.4  or  0.5 mm of galvanized C channel
