There are many type of water tank in the market:

1. FRP tank
1. FRPtank are popular use for industrial only not suitable for house because the price are expensive
2. Poly tank
1. Popular because easy to handle,transport,install and maintain.Also the cheapest from the other model.Long lasting about 10 years and are ready in many sizes
3. Stainless steel tank
1. Second popular from poly tank because more expensive but look very nice if install at the external or on the flat roof are.Easy to install,transport and maintain.Longer lasting than poly.

All the water tank can buy from the hardware shop except FRP have a specialist.Before buy make sure all the product must have a SIRIM certificate and SPAN approval.The size or height of the water tank must follow the roof height if the tank locate inside the roof.If the tank is locate on the flat slab or flat roof or special structure,height is variable and also the area of base must be taking consideration.Last time only timber support the water tank but now,the a little area of concrete slab are provided at the apex roof area.

To install the water tank,a licence plumber have to appoint.Dont let the uncompetent person doing the plumbering work.Make sure all the piping system like inlet,scour and overflow pipe are install at the right place.Testing and commisioning are needed after installation.Dont forget the warranty period for the product because nowday a water tank can buy from internet or online buying.The price are cheaper from the shop but have to check the quality,warranty and service after sales.
